So sorry to hear your having problems. I hope it's better now. My brother just had this done about 5 months ago. He's lost 90 lbs so far. Some he had lost before the lap band proceedure. So far so good for him though. I hope it continues to do so. All the best with yours. I know it's got to be tough!

Awww...I feel for you, so sorry you are going through this and feeling some guilt about it, you didn't do anything wrong! I'm a gastric bypasser so I don't know much about the lapband, but we all struggle with the same thing, which is food :) So I understand your frustration! Thanks for the update, hope everything goes well with the replacement of the tubing. Take care.

I'm glad to hear that they are doing something. I remember your video about the "other" doctor giving you a fill and how problamativc it was. I bet that is how it got nicked. Hope the replacemnt all goes well.

I love Brad Paisley! Hope you enjoyed his concert. It really stinks about the problem with your lap band. How can the fluid just evaporate? It has to be a slooowww leak somewhere. I can understand how frustrated you are. Wishing you the best, Jeremy! Thanks for the update. Take care!

That is such a sucky thing to have to deal with. I hope that this next thing will be the fix. It makes sense to me that it could be the tubing. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. jan

I can't believe all this trouble you are having but it is NOT your fault! Hang in there...you are doing sooo well!

that is so frustrating! so are they going to pay for the connector and tubing or do you have to? they should have guarantees on those things. hopefully it is just the tubing and not the band. good luck jeremy. keep up the great work with the weightloss u are so inspirational! much love!

Don't they make a "fix- a -flat" to fix the band? Hmmm they should... Sorry for your troubles. It is a fear of all of ours.. Your in my prayers..

thanks for updating us. Sorry that the issue is still not resolved.

I think when you go back in it would be interesting if before he messed with the fluid in the band he did another swallow test to see if the barium flowed at the same pace as it did on this visit (pencil point, as you said). that might shed some new light on it. hang in there.... really sorry you are going through this...you're doing wonderful but the reason we got the silly band in the first place was to assist us. kudos to you for what you've accomplished

Suck's but at least the Doc has a plan in place. I have heard most leaks are located around the port, due to fill error, miss placed needle stick Hope all turns out OK, and I hear ya Hungry sucks!

I'm sorry to hear about this. I don't know what the imaging results were like, but is it possible that maybe the leak is behind the stomach? By that I mean, if the image is taken from your front, maybe the leak is in the blind spot (for lack of a better term) behind your stomach (?).

And the plot thickens! Important thing is here it's not your fault. Nothing you did caused this. I'm glad to see some progress getting made. Keep us posted!

Jeremy - Having gone through this, I can HONESTLY say I feel your frustration. Hang in there. You are not at fault here. Please try to remember that, as hard as it can be.

@becksgetsbanded Thanks! It's frustrating indeed. Hoping that it will be figured out soon. I'd like to get this band to work sometime before I reach my goal. LOL
By: thegerm1. on 05 Jun 10, 18:07:21
@beccagetsbanded Dr. said that they use a boabie (sp) needle. My wife is a nurse and said that it has a little bend to the end of it. That's what it looks like. I'll have to make sure though. Thanks for the idea.

@WinndysWorld Yea it's not easy at all!! Some of my friends still think it's the "Easy Way Out" after all I've told them. Strange they think that way. Gotta stay positive!! It keeps me going. Thank you!!

@baldfamilyman39 Yes I'm getting to the point where I want to explode. But that usually doesn't help. LOL I think the tubing replacement will be the next step. I hope that does it. Thanks Jeff!!
