@MsThickandThin I go by the grams of protein. I try to get in 75 - 80 grams of protein a day. My morning drink, Click Espresso, has either 15 or 20 g. If I am working, I usually get a midmorning and midafternoon shake and those are about the same. Now, the amount of liquid I add to my shakes varies. At work I put them in a small vile and that's way less than 8 oz. If I make a smoothie with the same amt of powder, I use both water and ice...which makes it more than 8 oz. water.

@MissJJinVA I used it with water today and it wasn't bad at all. I think I will save my calorie and start using it with water. I have a question if you don't mind.. How much do you drink for a "meal"? I have been drinking 8oz's but I was just wondering if that's the norm.. thanks

Hey, Girl. Congrats on the 2 pounds!!! There are so many different types of protein shakes. My doctor's office "requires" us to use the whey protein, but my nutritionist on the outside had me using the soy ones. Most of the ones I have seen are whole unto themselves. You could use the milk, I guess, if you don't mind the extra calories. I'm so used to the taste of them mixed with water, I'm fine with it. My suggestion would be that if the directions say "add water," do that.Save the cals.
